Bipolar Transistor Model:
Starting from simple SPICE Gummel-Poon (SGP) model, we extract parameters for (i) industry-standard advanced VBIC model that additionally considers quasi-saturation effect, avalanche breakdown, self-heating, and for (ii) one of the most accurate CMC-standard HICUM model suitable for high-speed and high-current circuit design.
Berkley MOSFET models (BSIM3 and BSIM4) are the most used ones for CMOS circuit design. Other model such as EKV is well advanced model. We also support the HV-voltage MOSFET or LDMOS model based on BSIM3/EKV sub-circuit.
We support models for resistors, capacitors, and on-chip inductors which are very important and challenging in the integrated circuit, especially in RF ICs.
Special models required in RF application are always challenging. We can develop and support application specific models to fit the specific (e.g., high-frequency) characteristics.
Presently extraction methods for low frequency noise of each model are supported. We also offer high-frequency noise models including the noise-correlation effects for which the relevant parameters are related to the RF performance.
